If there’s one definitive it-bag of 2020, it’s undoubtedly Telfar’s shopping bag. Everyone from Oprah to Lizzo is a fan of the totes with the iconic T logo, which are famously hard to get your hands on. They’ve been coveted since their launch in 2014, but 2020 marks the year where the bags consistently sell out, often within minutes, whether on the Telfar site or on Amazon

While it may feel impossible to snag one, an assortment just launched on Shopbop with stock already low from an early-access event. Shopbop’s General Merchandise Manager Stephanie Roberson tells Vogue, “Telfar Clemens is an industry trailblazer and we are inspired by everything he has done with his brand. We’ve really been looking forward to the launch of the label – we knew the Shopper Tote style would go fast, and it’s been incredible to see the response from our most avid customers during our loyalty early access.” Ranging from $145 for the small shopper to $232 for the larger version, the inclusive price point and vegan leather only furthers the notion that Telfar’s designs feel like the egalitarian answer to luxury.

In a year where “going out” handbags are rather useless, and there are more essentials to tote around than ever before (think hand sanitizer and masks), crossbody bags and carryalls have become the new go-to whether heading out to the grocery store or on a long walk. Telfar’s sleek bags are as wearable as they are covetable, making them a must have for their form and function.

Here, shop Telfar’s it-bags. Hurry, before they sell out again.
